This scholarship is made available by the Environmental Education Foundation, Inc. The EEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of environmental education and /or the creation of awareness to environmental problems in the Geneva Lakes area. This is done primarily through the awarding of scholarships to local students.

Each year the Environmental Education Foundation (EEF) awards four $1500.00 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the Geneva Lake area who are planning to major in natural sciences. Candidates are recommended by their school and chosen by the Foundation, and must be registered at an accredited college or university.

When selecting the top candidate, the EEF considers each candidates academic record, professional goals, relevant work experiences and residency. The Foundation tries to award one scholarship to a student at each of the four area high schools. Students are awarded their scholarships at their high school awards night.
